HONEYKNIFE:
Honeyknife is Atlanta, GA’s true, new, premier alternative rock band. The 4 piece was formed in late 2023 after lead singer & songwriter Luke Latimer spent the spring of that same year recording what is their self titled, debut record “Honeyknife”. Latimer brought the songs he’d been crafting and compiling over the years into Big Trouble Recording (Located in Little 5 Points, ATL) & with the help of Daniel Gleason (Producer, GROUPLOVE) and TJ Elias (Engineer, Mixer) the project was completed over the course of 2 months. Due to Latimer playing all the parts except for drums in the studio, (courtesy of session drummer Benjamin Homola, GROUPLOVE) the band had to be built subsequently. He recruited Gabe Sweeney (Guitar), Joe Dempsey (Bass), and Ira White (Drums) to fill their respected roles and make the project an actual band. The 4 members all share influences and love for the 90’s Seattle Sound (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains) as well as the early 2000’s rock they all grew up on (Queens of the Stone Age, Deftones). Latimer is a true songwriter at heart, but don’t let the heart on his sleeve fool you. Expect loud but captivating live performances that are steered by the untamed energy captured on stage between the band.
THE MAXINES:
The Maxines is an all-female grunge band hailing from Savannah, Georgia. AJ Grey leads on vocals, twins Coco and Maddie Oke kill it on drums and guitar, and Emma Faith Smith hammers the bass. Their sound combines fuzzy tones, swoon-worthy riffs, moody vocals, and angsty rhythms for a gritty nostalgic punch. The group has gained a reputation for their high-energy and commanding live shows. Their debut album, “Skin Tight,” is unapologetic, and solidifies the group as a mainstay in the underground rock scene. The Maxines have been awarded Best Local Metal Band, Best Local Punk Band, and were finalists for Best Local Concert of 2023, Best Local Album, and Best Local Rock Band in Savannah, GA.
When We’re Sober
When We’re Sober is an indie-rock band out of Greensboro, NC.
When We’re Sober’s sound is raw & gritty- a true throwback to the heyday of 90’s grunge, yet is still refined enough that their elegant and often vulnerable lyricism can still shine through. This duality in their sound is crucial to the folk-grunge genre they pioneer.
Currently playing live as a trio and backed by their hot new single Jammin’ (Take My Hand), When We’re Sober is a local powerhouse in Greensboro looking to expand its following across and outside North Carolina in 2025 in anticipation of releasing their full length debut LP in January.
