We ONLY book shows via email. Please send all inquiries by emailing [email protected]. Please include the name of your band and dates that you are interested in performing in the subject line, and direct, one-click links to your music and/or social media in the body of the email.
We get a ton of emails, and doing these things makes it much more likely you will get a response. The easier it is to tell when you are interested in playing and access your music, the more likely we can work together. We are primarily interested in artists playing original music.
Before emailing, please make sure whatever date you are interested in is available by checking the website. However, do note that just because a date is not listed on the website does not mean it is available.
If you’re a new band or new to the area, it is very helpful if you have already contacted some local bands about playing with you before reaching out – having a lineup already built goes a long ways! We are happy to
We have very little backline (a 4×10 and 1×15 bass cab) at Local 506. You should plan to bring your instruments, amps, etc. We do provide a professional sound engineer and sound system, so you’ll never need to bring a P.A. or anything of that sort.
We do ask that if you have a show booked at Local 506, you do not have a show announced in the the Triangle area (Chapel Hill/Carrboro/Durham/Raleigh) at least 2 weeks before or after performing here. This helps to ensure that shows are a success for everyone involved.
PROMOTE!
Getting booked is less than half of a successful show. We aren’t a restaurant, sports bar, etc., so we don’t have any a built in crowd, other than music fans. If you are booked, it is assumed you will work to bring people to the show. We make and distribute fliers, advertise on social media, and generally push our shows and calendar out to the area, but you know who your fans are much better than we do.
