Le Lotus and Candiland with Lilac Drive

Le Lotus Imagine: A basement. Now imagine you’re in the basement. And in the basement, a band plays. Melodies glisten, guitars roar. You’re surrounded by the stuff of dreams. You ask yourself, ‘what band is this?’ A voice from within whispers, ‘This is le Lotus, from Raleigh, NC.’ Why a basement? Not really sure…   candiland candiland is a 5-piece indie rock / dream pop band based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Drawing from the dreamy textures of My Bloody Valentine and Cocteau Twins alongside the songwriting of Wednesday and Big Thief, their sound blends shoegaze, alternative rock, and indie folk into something immersive and emotionally direct. Fronted by singer and primary lyricist Lily Mars, the band moves between intimate, reflective moments and louder, more cathartic passages. Guitarists Ace McAteer and Gabe Harmon build colorful, dreamlike atmospheres through layered tones and interplay, while Asher de la Torre (bass) and Ayden Taylor (drums) provide a steady, driving foundation. The members come from across the Triangle but consider Chapel Hill home, where they’ve been steadily building a presence through live performances and a growing catalog of original music. Lilac Drive  Lilac Drive is a band that creates vibrant yet moody dream pop with rock elements based in the Traingle area of NC. They are a three-piece band consisting of Libby Miller on bass, lead vocals, and guitar, Charlie Bird on guitar and synth and Henry Sasser on the drums. Island Moons with Run Hill

Island Moons Instagram / Twitter  / Spotify / Youtube   American singer-songwriter Brandon S. Harwood, professionally known as artist Island Moons, has two decades of live performance and songwriting experience under various forms. However, while living in NYC, new inspiration struck in the midst of the COVID-19 silence with no contact except for the life of an expectant baby. A surge of creativity ensued and he began to sing and pen his thoughts with a newfound voice. Taking his songs into the studio in upstate NY, he discovered his artist’s name after finding a manuscript of William Blake during the session. He emerged with 4 singles released in 2023 and a debut EP (fall 2025) that combines indie, psychedelic, and folk-rock elements. His versatility in songwriting and arrangements takes listeners on a journey, residing somewhere in the musical space between Radiohead, Bowie, and Cat Stevens. He enjoys playing solo or with his band, and relocated to Chapel Hill, NC in 2024.   Run Hill Instagram   Run Hill is a three-piece band from Elizabeth City, NC, channeling a raw blend of surf rock and garage punk. Run Hill crafts songs that crash over you like a wave: loud, fast, and full of feeling.

Whoop with LaureNicole

Whoop Website On sophomore album Just What? North Carolina’s Whoop traverse indie-pop, rock, reggae, and jazzy hip-hop with instinctive musicality, rare chemistry, and palpable joy.   Due on Porcelain Records on April 1 st , the foursome’s second full-length in as many years evolves an innately diverse palette channeled through force-of-nature vocalist Fal and shaped by Grammy-winning guitarist/producer Steve Bigas.  “Music is supposed to bring people together, shake things up, cause a ruckus, and make a mark,” said Fal. “I always want Whoop to leave a lasting impression in someone’s mind/heart/ears.”  Formed in 2020, Whoop evolved organically from Friday night jams in Bigas’ barn studio in Raleigh. Consisting of musical moments captured, distilled, and tastefully shaped into songs, the band’s celebratory yet introspective eponymous debut emerged to rave reviews just a year later.  Since then, the prolific quartet, completed by bassist Nick and drummer Will, has been performing electrifying live shows – including Carolina Indie Fest and the NC State Fair – between the writing/recording sessions that ultimately spawned Just What?  LaureNicole
