Oort Patrol Album Release Show w/ Distortions, Worthington’s Law

Oort Patrol   Oort Patrol inhabits the temporally ambivalent space where the thrilling sounds of melodic punk rock meet the wonderment of exploration and the crushing weight of galactic bureaucracy. May be enjoyed by fans of Sludgeworth, Leatherface, Tiltwheel, Samiam, and others in that vein. The band’s second full length record, “Human Vice President,” is out on Boared to Death Records on October 4.   Distortions   Distortions is a punk band from Chapel Hill. They are comprised of members from other Triangle bands including Manic Third Planet and Narsick. This summer, they released ‘On the Rocks,’ their second EP on Boared to Death Records.   Worthington’s Law   Worthington’s Law is a supposedly funny punk band from Durham, NC. Blending comedic themes about everyday annoyances and the sounds of 80s and 90s punk rock, Worthington’s Law is here to provide a ginger-ale shaking good time. 

Punk & Drag – A Rocky Horror Night Ft. Babe Haven

Join us for a special edition of Punk & Drag as we celebrate a cinematic classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with performances by three punk bands: Babe Haven, Narsick, and Distortions and three drag artists: Jean-Belle Bleu, Missy V Sour, and Ruby Liqueur.    You are encouraged to dress up in your best Rocky Horror themed get-up, or come as you are. Everyone is welcomed!

Narsick Album Release Show

Narsick was formed in the fall of 2022 by Chapel Hill bassist Sarah Landis and drummer Kyle Parker, who quickly added the talents of Keith Blalock on guitar and front woman Ash Graña. Once all the pieces were set in place, the songwriting synthesis took off and led to a blend of punk sounds interwoven with many musical influences.

Idol Talk

Idol Talk, a danceable darkwave/post-punk trio from North Carolina, marches forth from the shadows of the 80s. Their sound is a parade of influences old and new, from the dark side of the Cure to the melancholy allure of Soft Kill. Every dance-inducing beat from these brooding synthlords feels like a pulsation of the night, inviting listeners into a moonless reverie, where darkness sways and shadows dance.
