Lord Fess, a Durham, NC artist and producer that combines intricate detail in lyricism with a sharp delivery and niche cadences over a buffet of smooth, 808-heavy sonic backdrops. Fess attended Durham School of the Arts but dropped out and chose to pursue a street education instead. Fess’ music is full of self-reflection, social commentary, anger and confidence and his live show is energetic, captivating and emotional, yet participatory.
